The octopus

The octopus is a mollusk cephalophod, widespread in the shallow waters of the seas around the world. Not having skeleton, it can take any form passing through very narrow tunnels.

Its has 8 tentacles up to 1 meter long, with double row of sucker.  Males can reach 10kg of weight.

He has 3 hearts and lives on average a couple of years. Can change colour quickly.

He is a very clever animal, able to learn by observing the behaviour of his other fellows. The absence of skeleton allows him to pass through very narrow tunnels.

Visitors can see the octopus in the tank set up on the ground floor, once they come out of the tropical gallery on the right, next to the wreck tank. Composed of two tanks connected by a transparent acrylic pipe, it allows the octopus (Octopus vulgaris) to move from one side of the tank to the other passing through the pipe
